Copperware

Tsuiki Copperware

is created by hand-hammering a flat sheet of copper into shape without using molds. The artisan alternates between hammering and heating the metal to soften it, slowly forming functional and elegant vessels. The surface is finished with traditional Japanese patinas such as seiran blue or akane red, and the fine hammer marks—called tsuchime—give each piece its unique texture and beauty.
