born in 1978 in Niigata, Japan, graduated from the Faculty of Design at Nagaoka Institute of Design. After completing the Graduate School of Design Research at the same university in 2002, he joined Seigado, the workshop founded by his grandfather. While producing commercial pieces, he also pursued his own sculptural works, exhibiting at ‘Collect’ in London from 2010 to 2015. In recent years, he has focused on developing products that feature Akane-iro, a hue created by adding red to the traditional Seiran blue.
